4:36 p.m. Passion Ministry

“It’s not possible!” John paused, tried to slow his spinning brain. “NO! No! She... she wouldn’t... couldn’t... ” He paced frantically. “God in Heaven, we shouldn’t have let her in.”

“Father!”

John stopped. “Jimmy? Jimmy! I don’t...” His face froze. “I forbid you from watching! Understand?”

Jimmy“But—”

“No if, ands or buts, young man! Just do as I say.” He turned to leave. “I’ll be back soon.”

“Wait, Father! Wait! Why can’t I watch?”

John looked back.

“If I’m to follow you, I must know both the good and evil in people.”

John hesitated. Many times, he had stared at his miraculous son, wanting to tell the truth. So many lies. “I... can’t bear to see you hurt.”

“Please, Father, you can’t protect me forever.” Jimmy sat up.

“There’re things I must know.” Held out a trembling hand. “Stay with me. Help me understand.”
