Not only were the letters strange. Every so often, they were spoiled by a red line.
Given the booklet’s fine leather and tooled gold leaf, she knew its contents were important. But she couldn’t decipher anything.
She lay on her bed. Didn’t think about her miraculous head-healing experience with John or why she wasn’t going after the Interview with hammer and tongs.
Instead, she copied the scribbles letter for letter.
