Chapter 19

Holy Wednesday, March 31, 9:27 a.m. Passion Ministry

Holy Wednesday morning, the sun burst through the clouds. Passionates strolled about enjoying God’s outdoor playground.

Bench overlooking oceanHarry searched the area, eyes scanning empty benches along the waterfront. He spied Rachel, sitting alone and staring at the sea. He collected himself. Had to suck up big time, or lose his key ally. Turning on a brilliant smile, he stepped in front of her.

Rachel’s eyes flashed anger, surprise then bemusement as Harry knelt. Gently kissed her hand.

“I beg you. Please, forgive me. I’m sorry about last night.” He grinned engagingly. “It’s…it’s just that I want to know about your new family.”

She smiled.

Harry sat. Embraced her tenderly. “You’re the best thing that’s happened to me, Rachel. You’re beautiful, fiery…I care about you.”

He kissed her.

“It’s only natural I’d be interested in your reconciliation with your Mom...and now you’ve got a little brother. You’ve got to tell me all about him.”

He kissed her again. Hard.

This time, Rachel responded eagerly, her body rising to his touch.
