JohnPeace at last. The rays of sun warming his cheeks, John let the potent strains of Requiem recapture his soul. Good music soothed and granted him essential psychological rest and rejuvenation. And God’s voice was clearest when accompanied by a powerful melody.

Something stirred the hot sunroom air. His heart skipped. Maggie was running toward him! He couldn’t make out her words. John turned off the stereo. Sprang to his feet.

“...help! Oh, God, John, help! Jimmy... Jimmy’s in the courtyard... can’t breathe!”

“Have you called Andy?”

She nodded, gasping.

“Oscar?”

Her hands flew to her head.

“Get him! I’ll go to Jimmy.”
