“Cancel it! Cancel everything. Send everyone home!”

“What?! W-w-wait a second, Maggie,” Phil retorted into the phone. “It’s a little late. What’s John got to say—”

“He’s gone! No one’s seen him since...” She broke down.

Maggie“Aw, Maggie, I... I’m—”

Sheila snatched the phone. “Maggie? Oh, Maggie, darling, we’re so sorry. I can’t believe it. Poor Jimmy.” Her voice cracked. “It’s too much to take in. D’you want Phil to come and get you?”

Between sniffles, Maggie replied, “No. John’s gone and... well, there’re things to do here.”

“Okay, darling, but let me help. Of course we’ll cancel Sunday. What else can I do?

“Well... Susan’s here with me. I want you to find Rachel.” Maggie gulped. “Please, find my baby.”

“I’ll get her myself, okay? And Phil’ll deal with the cancellations. Don’t worry, Maggs. Rachel’ll be with you before you know it.”
