11:55 a.m. Passion Ministry
Virginia grabbed her bag, thoughtfully left beside her bed. Rummaged. Checked the camera. Counted the batteries. Missing two. She dumped the contents on the bed.
A thought shot into her mind. Oscar’s the head of security. He’d look through the bag again, given half the chance. Hyperventilating, she flopped down. Screwed up again!
Then she jumped up. Paced. If he had, sure as TV added ten pounds, he’d have called her on it. Exhaling, she returned to the jumble on the bed.
A small red book caught her eye. She flipped through it. Empty except for the first four pages. She examined the writing. It was gobbledygook. Using her fingers, she ticked off possibilities: Russian, German, Polish, Greek. Greek? Yeah.
Next, she wondered how the book got in her purse. The bag never left her side. So how? Oscar! The Ministry’s Security Chief must have put it there. But why? She would have to finesse the big guy to find out.
